The Camping and Caravanning Club’s Culzean Castle club site in Ayrshire has been awarded the first ever five star award by VisitScotland.
The site has 90 pitches and is just a short walk from the lovely 18th century castle and grounds. The award is based on VisitScotlands Quality Assurance Scheme which assesses the sites facilities. The site has undergone recent refurbishment to its amenity block, entrance barrier and children’s play areas. The showers, toilets and washing-up area are also of a high standard.

Culzean Castle is a little over 4 hours travel time from our base here in Altrincham. Not only do you have the grounds and castle at Culzean to explore but there is the Burns Heritage Trail, the gorgeous coastline and the historic town of Ayr. There is plenty to do here to keep you busy for a week and pitching up in one of our camper vans at a five start site will make it all the more special to make great memories together and explore all this area has to offer. This is one of our favourite destinations in Scotland.
