We drove up to the Dubs Int’ Dales 2018 VW show on the Camphill estate, Bedale, North Yorkshire. This is the 7th year the show has been in existence and took place over the weekend of 28th to 30th September.

The camping field set-up is excellent and well marked up with a good splattering of showers and toilets. There was a camping cafe set-up too where you could get your early morning bacon sandwich or whatever else would take your fancy.

The show itself has quite a good trade turn out with us meeting some really interesting people. Kirstie was excited as she had heard her favourite pop-up fashion boutique was there, within minutes she had bagged two new additions to her wardrobe. We also met Ian who was selling vintage dinner sets, we couldn’t resist picking one up to be used as a prop when we are at shows or doing photoshoots. The usual order of play for us when visiting these shows is to seek out the cake stall, and Kirstie didn’t fail us in finding this. We stocked up on rocky road from Becky’s stall selling Ridiculously Rich cakes which we later discovered was owned by the winner of The Apprentice in 2016, Alana Spencer.

In addition to the lovely cakes there were countless food stalls selling things to suit all tastes and the smell wafting around the food zone isn’t great when you are trying to stick to a healthy diet.

There were hot tubs, meditation tents, archery and axe throwing to name a few of the activities on offer. We had a go at archery and it was pleasing to know that I managed to do better than my son Matthew. We also noted on the programme that you could even do Gin Yoga, we though this was a spelling error and that it should have read Yin Yoga. However, this wasn’t the case. It was Yoga whilst drinking gin.

The evening time brought with it live music in the barn area, which was just a wonderful setting and serving up the local beer from up the road in Masham.

Would we recommend it?  For sure. Great vibes, nice setting and probably one of the last outdoor VW shows of the season. If you’ve not been give it a go.

Remember too, if you don’t own a camper you can get the full experience at this show by renting one of ours. Book early though to avoid disappointment as this is a popular show.
